Letter: Vote Vanorny for City Council District 5

If you live in District 5, please get out and vote on Dec. 5 for Ashley Vanorny for City Council.

I have known her for a number of years and used to work with her. Ashley cares deeply about the things that all of us should care about - the environment, clean air and water, the rights of those less fortunate, being a voice for those among us who need our help and attention.

She is a woman of extraordinary integrity - if she gives you her word, she keeps it. She's a hard worker, and puts all of her energy into everything she undertakes. She doesn't sit on the sidelines, but is, and has been, very involved with many community agencies that help our citizens.

Ashley is not a 'politician.” She informs herself on the issues, then rolls up her sleeves and goes to work. She is the real deal; contact her and find out for yourself. Then elect her to the Cedar Rapids City Council on Dec. 5.
