Letter: Vote for Kurt Friese, Jason Lewis

Kurt Friese and Jason Lewis are outstanding candidates for two seats on the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.

At the League of Women Voters forum both candidates expressed exceptional clear positions for Sustainable Residential Growth from Cities Outward. They believe that farmland needs to be protected from residential sprawl, and they support small local farm food production. Friese and Lewis have progressive positions on mental health, addiction outreach, child welfare, the promotion of renewable energy, and broadband Internet as a public utility to reach disenfranchised residents in rural Johnson County.

Both candidates will stand up for the often-ignored needs of Johnson County rural residents. Join me in voting for Friese and Lewis on June 7.
