Letter: Veteran thanks stranger for lunch

While eating lunch at the Marriott Hotel on Oct. 12, the waitress informed me that she had good news.
A lady whose father also was a combat veteran and was no longer here saw my Vietnam veteran's hat and was paying for lunch for my wife and me. Interestingly, she was thinking of her father, and Oct. 12 was my father's birthday. My wife and I enjoyed lunch. Many thanks.
