Letter: Vernon fights for the middle class

The Iowa middle class has been shrinking for decades. Hardworking Iowans are seeing stagnating wages, jobs shipped overseas and a growing tax burden.
We need a representative in Congress who knows the day-to-day struggles Iowans face and will fight for the middle class. Someone who won't get mired in partisan bickering and backdoor vendetta politics.
That's why I'll be supporting Monica Vernon in November. Rod Blum's focus on national party politics has drawn his attention away from the work of representing his constituents.
Vernon will get us back on track with an economy that works for everyone - not just for a select few.
