Letter: Urge senators to defend graduate students

I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa and a teaching assistant. The university works because I do.
I am asking our representatives to not vote for the House Resolution's proposed graduate student tax and that they do all in their power to defend policies that make higher education a possibility for all instead of a dream for a few.
I urge Sen. Joni Ernst and Sen. Chuck Grassley to defend the research and teaching missions of Iowa's institutions of higher education and the many public benefits they provide for the good people of Iowa.
