Letter: Unity on display during homecoming reception

I attended my first, of hopefully many, homecoming receptions for our veterans on the May 24 Honor Flight at The Eastern Iowa Airport.
Kudos to the staff and many volunteers who make this event happen. It was truly a first class operation. From the greeting line to validated parking, every detail was covered seamlessly. The air was filled with respect and a sense of unity and compassion.
Thanks to all individual and corporate monetary donors, the Honor Flight staff and volunteers, The Eastern Iowa Airport, and especially the veterans who served. Please take time to honor them along with your passed loved ones.
