Letter: Trump’s priorities are mind boggling

From his mouth came the words that we can't cooperate with the rest of the world to address the issue of climate change because it would 'cost too much.” Well, we are never to know the full and true costs of the recent hurricanes to impact Americans, but here are the estimates: Harvey on the Houston area - $150 to $180 billion (yes, billion!), Irma on Florida and the southeast - $65 to $190 billion, Maria on Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands - $8 to $30 billion.
Sadly, we are now stuck with a divisive, science-denying White House more preoccupied with rally crowd size and tweeting nonsense about NFL players who are expressing their constitutional rights, than about helping American citizens trying to cope in a devastated Puerto Rico.
The arrogance, ignorance and misplaced priorities of the Trump presidency is truly mind boggling and the mantra of 'making America great again” has now become a cosmic joke.
