I wish to provide my perspective from your recent Dec. 4 article 'Preschool struggles to stay in southwest Cedar Rapids.”
My family was blessed to have four amazing years with Trinity Lane Preschool and its staff. It breaks my heart to know that Trinity Lane, as we know it today, may no longer be around to bless the lives of future families. As your article stated, this preschool provides education for a diverse group of children from various backgrounds and income levels. It is truly the neighborhood's hidden treasure, and one that would most certainly be missed, if they are forced to relocate. Trinity Lane serves children in so many ways - through education, through consistency, but most importantly through love. I have seen the love that Trinity Lane's educators have provided families with through the years. They love each and every single child that comes through those doors and have one crucial goal in mind: How can we help this child succeed? Providing families of all income levels affordable based education is one very important way that this school has helped ensure the success of these children. I pray that Trinity Lane is able to keep their doors open for future generations in order to foster the growth of successful children all throughout our community.
