This Administration and Congress don't seem to realize that there are millions of people who want to work but because of COVID-19 there are several reasons why they can't go back to work or back to their previous jobs. Since Sen. Mitch McConnell seems to think that if people continue to receive the extra $600 dollars it would make it too easy for them not to work, I guess he doesn't realize that with the extra money people would be able to pay their rent, buy food or medicine and pay their other bills. There are people asking for help from the government that have never been in this situation before. McConnell has been in Congress too long (35 yrs.) and has forgotten who pays his wages.
Recently I saw a woman from Colorado packing up her belongings to move because she wasn't able to pay her rent. Did she have somewhere to go? She said no and did not know what she was going to do. This is happening all over the country.
Treasury Sec. Steve Mnuchin has the nerve to say that people don't deserve more money when he and his wife used taxpayer money to take a vacation and buy new clothes. McConnell receives his paycheck for doing nothing so why not help the people he was elected to represent?
