Question 1 on the ballot (Iowa's Water and Land Legacy amendment) is a power grab taking away taxpaying, rental, landowners, farmers and ranchers rights as to whom is allowed on private property. I'm all for clean water but this amendment goes far beyond.
This will negate landowners' right to a peaceful and tranquil life with hunters and others scaring or sometimes even shooting livestock for sport.
Farmers and ranchers are being harassed about the dust they cause while providing reasonably priced food for everyone.
If this “stealth” bill goes through, landowners would have no rights, only pay for real estate taxes and pick up the debris from those wanting to leave other people's land a legacy.
