Letter: There is no equal justice for all

About two months ago there was a robbery and the police stopped and aimed guns at an unarmed peaceful citizen who 'looked like” the described robber. He was not disturbed about it and later said the police were just doing their job. He and most citizens have become so conditioned to expect tyrannical police actions as to believe cops are gods and citizens have no more rights than rats. It's like that in our justice system. We're idiots to believe we still have equal justice for all.

I asked Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst and Rep. Rod Blum if there is any other country in the world where law enforcement personnel have any more power over citizens, any more favoritism in the law, more exemption from the law, any more right to kill unarmed non-attacking citizens, and get a paid vacation for it, than they have in the U.S.? I didn't get any answers. Also, cops confiscate property and money that had nothing to do with violent crime. Tell me, where is it any worse than here in the U.S.?

Big government tyranny was not initiated and lobbied for by common citizens, but by power-hungry officials, and our lawmakers don't have the gumption to tell them no.
