Letter: Tax plan doesn’t benefit average American

I hope my Senators Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley, along with my Congressman David Loebsack, are listening to what I have to say.
Today, I write to you as your Iowa constituent to express my deep concerns regarding the proposed so-called 'tax cut plan.” It doesn't take a genius to see that this plan of Trumps does not benefit the average American people, rather, it is designed to allow the few wealthiest Americans a major tax break. This supposed tax plan will do nothing but further widen the economic inequality gap and place hardship on the majority of Iowans. Surely, you can see that Trumps tax plan is all for him. It is your responsibility to keep the executive branch in check - this is not an aristocracy.
I shouldn't need to remind you that in America we value a democratic country, where no single governing entity is permitted more power than another. Your time in Congress is likely nearing its end if you continue to demonstrate your cowardice toward the all powerful Trump. How do you sleep at night, knowing 20 years from now, our democracy will have collapsed and you will be directly responsible? Time is running out to change your stance: I implore you to do the right thing. Thank you for your time and your absolute attention to this urgent matter.
Lastly, I'd like to thank Rep. Loebsack for your commitment to protecting American democracy and the rights of the majority.
