Letter: Still waiting for MCO benefits

My youngest child has been on Medicaid since shortly after birth due to an extremely low birth weight and was transferred to an MCO last spring. When she was still on traditional Medicaid she would receive regular reminders for dental exams and well-child checks, as well as reminders for lead checks as we live in an old house.
Since she was transitioned to managed care we have stopped receiving those extra reminders and have not heard from her MCO other than a duplicate survey that I received and filled out three times. Since those extras were touted as benefits of the changeover, I am left wondering where they are and when they will show up.
My eldest daughter still receives traditional Medicaid due to intellectual disability and we continue to get high quality service from them, which I would rate much higher than the service we receive from the traditional employer-based insurance the rest of the family uses, and far and above the spotty service we receive from the MCO.
I would hope that our elected officials will put pressure on those companies to actually provide the services promised.
