Letter: Silent majority can make a difference

The silent majority has never been so important as today, especially those who stay informed. These are the ones who represent America to the fullest and they are the ones who, with God's help, see through the lies we are all subject to during the political fight for the presidency.

This highest office is such a gem that it attracts 'birds of contrasting feathers” some true believers in our system of government, some not.

Like birds, we tend to flock together sometimes in street protest. The whole idea of street protesting especially with violence is rather strange in America, isn't it? Consider the damage done in other countries by protesters, friends and family members are killed or maimed for life and the evil leaders remain in power.

There must be a better way to bring change, although we know that organizers will continue organizing protest as long as they find people willing to carry the scares; people who fail to realize that they are used for their loudness and to carry those scares. They're just 'birds of prey” used by self-seekers who stay in safety zones.

A better way to change the mess is by a convention of the states. Many governors are promoting the Fifth Article of our Constitution. Iowa's governor has not yet.

The silent majority is needed to push our governor in this direction if we want to put some honesty back in government without turning on each other or disfiguring our own humanity.
