Letter: Show your support for Chuck Grassley

If any of the Democrats campaigning to oppose Sen. Chuck Grassley in this fall's election defeat him, he or she for the next six or more years will act and vote as the next Senate leader of the Democrat party directs rather than what he or she said they would do if elected to get elected.
They will do this to get assigned to their favorite committees and to get party funds when they run for re-election. Sen. Grassley has supported Iowa interests even against members of his own party and has supported federal government whistleblowers, even when his party was in power. He travels to every county in Iowa to keep up with Iowa interests. He also seeks to find and eliminate waste in all proposed legislation voted on in the Senate. He is well respected and trusted by members of both political parties. He insists on preserving the right of the incoming president to nominate the next member of the Supreme Court without destroying the reputation and career of the nominee of our outgoing president.
In the years ahead Iowa will need its Senators to protect it from legislation that promotes New York or some other area at the expense of Iowa. Let's keep Sen. Grassley in the U.S. Senate as long as he is able and willing to serve. Vote for Sen. Grassley to serve another term in the U.S. Senate for Iowa.
