Letter: Ship needs put back on course

'Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes into hours?” This is a lyric from a Gordon Lightfoot song about a shipwreck. Nowadays the ship of state is buffeted by waves of accusations concerning Russian interference and cover up. The ship is listing and the steerage is questionable. Accusations that could probably be explained to the satisfaction of most people in a few minutes are instead subject to hours of nitpicking speculation by cable news networks.
If there exists a way to right the ship, there is little evidence of it from our duly elected leaders. Inspiration from a higher source may be required to put the ship back on course.
