Letter: Sen. Grassley is ignoring his duties

It is humorous, but also highly disappointing, that the TV campaign ads by Sen. Chuck Grassley describes how he has had 27 bills passed by his Senate Judiciary Committee with bipartisan support. Yet the one duty he is by the Constitution required to perform (overseeing a hearing on the Supreme Court nomination) is being ignored purely from a partisan objective.
As chairman of the judiciary committee he is acting as a one man obstructionist.
I do appreciate, however, the senator's ability to find his way to every DQ in Iowa, although in the Cedar Rapids area he probably uses the drive-thru so as to avoid having to stop and possibly confront anyone.
Now if he could only find his way to do his job in Washington, DC.
