Letter: Republicans not to blame for ACA crisis

Apr. 14, 2017 1:00 am
The first paragraph of the April 8 story 'Iowa's market might be harbinger for U.S.” reads 'Iowa's insurance market could be the canary in the nation's coal mine if Congress or President Trump doesn't offer clarity soon on the future of the Affordable Care Act, with millions of people losing coverage, one industry expert said Friday.”
The clear implication of this statement is that the crisis in ACA is caused by lack of action by Republicans. No insurance laws have changed in seven years. The unnamed 'expert” has accused the wrong culprit. The seven years of deterioration in the effectiveness of Obamacare is croaking this canary.
