Letter: Rep. Blum lacks commitment to veterans

Rod Blum's failure to denounce the vile attacks on a fallen Army veteran's family is just another example of his lack of commitment to our servicemen and women.
Congressman Blum voted against increased funding for veterans medical services and against measures to protect veterans from predatory lenders. He also voted to drastically underfund the VA by more than $1 billion, impacting 70,000 veterans and jeopardizing health and other critical services to our veterans.
When an amendment to provide increased funding for health services was introduced, Congressman Blum voted no. When Blum voted to shut down the government he again chose to turn his back on our veterans, risking delayed or reduced veterans benefit payments.
This week has shown us that Blum can't even pay our veterans lip service.
