Letter: Reader offers solution to fireworks problem

I think I have a solution for the fireworks problem. People are making loud noises and bright lights for their own entertainment. I am sure they don't mean to terrorize dogs, stress veterans, waken babies and shift workers, bother the sick, the elderly, or just ordinary citizens that like a quiet neighborhood. So rather than set off fireworks in a densely populated area, they would get more bang for their bucks if they simply used smaller fireworks inside their own homes with the doors closed. Perhaps a bathroom or closet would do.
