Letter: Protest without burning the American flag
Mary Lou McFadden
Feb. 12, 2017 12:00 am
I am certainly glad that the FedEx employee who stopped protesters from burning our flag was not fired. He should be given a medal.
Burning our flag should not be legal. It should mean jail time. Let them go to the Middle East or Russia and burn their flags and see what happens. Protest peacefully all you want but do not burn our flag.
My father-in-law gave his life for that flag. To see someone burn it breaks our hearts. God bless America and all who defend our flag.
