Letter: President Trump did not deserve criticism

To say the violence in Charlottesville, Va., was a tragedy is putting it mildly. A young life was lost and many injuries reported. Pain for all and their families. My sympathy goes out to all of you.
To criticize President Donald Trump, who did not condone the white supremacy, neo-Nazis or the KKK in this conflict, but was respecting our First Amendment rights and was questioning which side threw the first stone.
Just maybe some homework should be done before reporting the news.
