Letter: President responsible for protecting public
Roger Schnittjer
Mar. 27, 2017 1:00 am
The president's job is to protect the American public as President Donald Trump has often said.
Protecting the American public includes many issues: clean air and water, health, financial crisis, fraud, financial abuse, corruption, safe working environments, health care, natural disasters and discrimination for any reason.
Cutting budgets to the Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency, etc., to allow more spending on the military is a fool's game. The public is more likely to die from diseases and preventable accidents, than terrorists attacks.
I know as president he thinks he has the right, but is it good government? President Trump is the GOPs' responsibility. Voters do remember who takes things away from them.
