Letter: Politicians need to work for us

I am a registered Democrat. However, I never vote straight party. The reason I do this is to not give one party all the control, but to maintain balance in our political system. As we are in an election year and neither party can get along. Plus, we need a new judge to sit on the Supreme Court.
We have politicians threatening to filibuster President Barack Obama's choices. I know people either hate or like Obama, but either way they need to remember he is our president.
What we need to do as the people of the United States is take back our country. We need to make our politicians work for us again. It does not matter what party they serve. What matters is that they work for us. That they represent us. Right now they have us right where they want us. Fighting each other, distracted and not watching them. If you or I do not do our job, what happens? We get fired. It is time we re-elect people who can do the job. No matter what their parties are, get new people in office.
Please write Obama, Sen. Chuck Grassley, Rep. Rod Blum, or any of our politicians and get your voice heard. Tell them if they can't do their job and work for us then we will get someone who can.
