Letter: Planned Parenthood not needed

Government funded Planned Parenthood is not the only access in this area for obtaining service for gynecological health needs as stated in Bobbie Paxton's letter of June 3 'Planned Parenthood closing is shortsighted.”
It is evident and unfortunate that she is not aware of Informed Choices Medical Clinic in Iowa City nor Bridge Haven and His Hands in Cedar Rapids. They are listed in the phone book and therefore easy to locate, readily accessible, friendly, non-judgmental, free and helpful to men and women with any and all health issues.
To rid our communities of clinics that provide and promote abortions is not only rescuing men and women from potential serious health issues, it is saving them from living with a guilty conscience.
There are many opportunities to adopt out a baby that is not wanted as you can see by the long list of adoption services in the yellow pages of our phone books.
