Letter: No tickets if you obey the speed limit

Regarding the June 15 letter 'Traveler upset with C.R. traffic cameras” by Tom Lindborg from Edina, Minn.:
I am sorry that you had to spend money for something other than pleasure. But getting three speeding tickets should tell you something about your wife's driving. A traveler must be going at least 12 mph over the limit to get a ticket. Cedar Rapids is not out to get out-of-town travelers, but trying to keep it a safer city to drive in.
If you and everyone else driving through Cedar Rapids would obey speed limit signs - there would be no tickets given. Not coming back to Cedar Rapids is your choice, but you shouldn't punish anyone else from enjoying our city because your wife doesn't obey laws.
Edina doesn't give out speeding tickets?
