Letter: Monica Vernon will continue to unite

With the upcoming election for mayor, we have good candidates running for mayor for Cedar Rapids.
I am supporting Monica Vernon. She is a proven woman who gets the job done and can work with both sides on issues with class and dignity. She is a true friend and is a true blessing for us in Cedar Rapids. She has a achieved a lot on the City Council and builds the bridges to unity that we as a city need to maintain. I find it a great honor to be one of her friends and a common person like myself who wants to make for a more positive impact.
I urge my fellow Cedar Rapids residents to give Vernon all the support you can give her and help her continue bring unity to Cedar Rapids.
