Letter: Mayor, council need to change focus

Thursday's vote sent an important message to the City of Cedar Rapids - it is time to move on.
After many years of trying to promote a casino for our city, our mayor and council members need to change their focus. We have many successful cities that don't have casinos as a source of income. Our city fathers need to start looking in other directions to help build up their revenue.
In the long run, as a city, we will move forward and our money will be spent more wisely.
