Letter: Mathis is needed in Iowa Senate

I have been disturbed by the ads I have seen on television that describe Liz Mathis. Then, I read of the mailings that contain false information ('Mathis earns another term,” Oct. 16).
I have visited the State Capitol on numerous occasions and have met with Sen. Mathis. The Liz Mathis I know is a dedicated, compassionate person who has only one goal in mind and that is to help make life better for all people in Senate District 34 and in the State of Iowa.
The Gazette has made a wise choice to endorse Mathis. I hope the citizens of Senate District 34 will make the same choice on Nov. 8. Mathis is needed in the Iowa Senate.
