Letter: Marion Police serve as role models

In April, Marion Police Officer Nicole Hotz was honored for showing extraordinary understanding during a domestic abuse situation. She is that and so much more. Recently, she came to my house about scammers on my internet. Wow, was she great!

'We are here to protect the citizens of Marion,” she said. She is a lovely, sweet police officer and has earned her honor.

What disappointed me was nothing was said about Marion Police Officers Jimmie Hunter and Adam Cirkl. They deserve to also be rewarded. Along with Hotz, they are kind, compassionate and calming officers. They should all be the role models for the other officers. I nominate them for Marion Police Department Officers of the year. Three fantastic cops with hearts of gold. God bless them all.
