Letter: Local cemetery in need of upkeep

I'm writing in hopes of getting something done at the Czech National Cemetery, located at the corner of Bowling Street and Wilson Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids.
Every year, the cemetery is getting more neglected. Stones are sinking or tipped caddywhompus. The cemetery is not mowed in a timely manner. There is more creeping Charlie and dandelions than there is grass. The cemetery is in shambles.
I realize this is a private cemetery, but still it doesn't look to me like the person taking care of grounds has any respect for our loved ones. It doesn't cost that much money to spray for weeds or to lift the stones. There is money allowed for such expenses. I would hope enough people read and help get change at the Czech Cemetery. We would like to be proud of our cemetery again. Right now, we are not.
