Is Ted Cruz hearing voices? He invokes the word of God in a political speech for a country that has the separation of church and state written into the Constitution.
Jesus would not have said 'We will carpet bomb them into oblivion. I don't know if sand can glow in the dark but we're going to find out.” Jesus is quoted as saying 'love thy neighbor.” This country does not need a negative leader.
Donald Trump has added 'spoil sport” to his portfolio. He is a loose cannon, which is not what this country needs. He has no concept of what the average person has to cope with. His solution is rely on his gun or his money.
Iowa used to have a reputation for being sensible and well-educated. However, our smaller farmers are having problems dealing with corporate farming invasions which has increased anxiety across the state. Companies like Caterpillar and Rockwell Collins are cutting workers. We need to be discussing these real life problems calmly. Even Rubio said we may be angry, but being angry isn't a plan. His mantra includes undoing the health care of 18 million people, which is also not a plan.
The caucus arguments of these leading candidates are leaving Iowa with a bad image. These narrow views will not serve Iowa well. Let us look forward and listen to debates about real world issues thoughtfully. Our state and our country deserves it.
