Letter: Iowans need Hillary Clinton

With our reproductive health and rights on the ballot this year, the clear choice for president is Hillary Clinton.
Clinton has spent her entire career breaking down barriers and building bridges. She is fighting for an economy that works for all Iowans - not just those at the top. We know that an economy that works for everyone, works for women, which is why as Senator Hillary led the charge for equal pay and is committed to ensuring equal pay for equal work as president.
She famously declared women's rights are human rights. As Senator, she fought for historic health reform and to expand access to birth control. In her presidential campaign, she has vowed to make mental health care a national priority, which will bring relief to millions of suffering Americans, including many veterans.
She is the most qualified presidential candidate our country has seen in a generation. And she is the only candidate who will protect every American's access to safe, quality, reproductive health care.
As president of Planned Parenthood Voters of Iowa, I am grateful Iowans have access to reproductive health care. Others states do not have that guarantee, as many push to end access to crucial health services. For many Americans, that would mean cutting lifesaving care like cancer screenings, STI testing, birth control and pap smears at Planned Parenthood health centers.
I urge you to consider what's at stake in this election. Vote early and vote to protect access to vital reproductive health care. Vote for Hillary Clinton.
