Letter: Hacking did not interfere with election

The recent allegations of Russian hacking and its impact on campaigns is an issue that has importance beyond the presidential campaigns of either party. Cyber security is a national security issue and the U.S. should understand if it is happening, how it is happening, and what can be done about it. But let us not lose focus regarding the content in the WikiLeaks revelations.
The hacking did not change vote counts that were submitted. Instead it revealed a lot of negative press attached to the Democrat party. Now Democrats want to cry that the hacking interfered with the election. It most certainly did not. It interfered with the Democrat campaign. Not even Democrats can say that the negative press from the WikiLeaks revelations were not true.
I wish there had been even more truth-sharing. I would have liked to see Planned Parenthood exposed for selling fetal body parts. Oh, wait, that is already an established fact. I would have liked to see the IRS exposed for targeting conservative groups. Oh, wait, that is already an established fact. I am not at all surprised that the Obama agenda in the form of Clinton's election was soundly rejected.
