There is a grassroots project that supports women's rights. It is the Pussyhat Project.
From their mission statement: 'The Pussyhat Project aims to: 1. Provide the people of the Women's March on Washington, D.C. a means to make a unique collective visual statement which will help activists be better heard. 2. Provide people who cannot physically be on the National Mall a way to represent themselves and support women's rights.” (www.pussyhatproject.com)
There still is time to make hats for yourself and others to wear in Iowa on Jan. 21 if you can't be in Washington. It's particularly important at this time in our nation's history to let people know that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity - not denied any of our constitutionally guaranteed rights and liberties.
