Letter: Get a colonoscopy, it might save your life

Colon cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in the nation.
Recently, I had a colonoscopy at St. Luke's Digestive Health Center and they found a mass that had to be removed. My story had a happy ending - they found no cancer. So I got a second chance, but if left alone it could have turned into cancer. The care I got was fantastic and I thank God for the people who choose to serve in medicine.
I recommend everyone get a colonoscopy, especially if they smoke. Smoking increases your chance of cancer of the colon. It might save your life.
