Regarding Liz Bennett's July 29 guest column 'The only walls we need are flood walls”:
As a constituent, I read with interest the guest column submitted by Rep. Liz Bennett, Iowa House District 65. I appreciated her expression of compassion and respect for those who are wrongly marginalized and mistreated in our society, both locally and nationally. I read in anticipation of learning what she planned to do as my representative in House District 65 to address these issues locally. Instead, I was given more anti-Trump rhetoric.
Harry Foster is running against Rep. Bennett in our November election. He believes that the role of government is to protect our freedoms, build and maintain necessary infrastructure, ensure the welfare of those not able to meet their own needs, ensure educational opportunities and encourage free enterprise. Foster wants to address issues such as public safety, health care, jobs and exposing hidden taxes. He isn't a one-issue man. Learn more about Foster at www.fosterforiowa.com. He is an honest man who cares about issues in Iowa House District 65.
