Letter: Football players dishonor the flag

Who do the football players think they are? Too important to protest in the streets, but feel that there would be more media coverage done on the field of play with the millions of people attending and watching on TV.
They not only dishonor the American flag, but all veterans who have died and have been injured defending the flag, which gives them all their rights. Evidently, as long as the money still goes into the pockets of the owners and coaches, anything goes.
I still will enjoy watching certain teams even after the asinine conduct of certain players. Eve Bennett
