Letter: Five supervisors too expensive to maintain

Why can't we maintain five supervisors and keep the representation for the whole county? Answer: At $103,000 per supervisor it costs too much.
The other day I saw a report on TV that said one candidate, Randy Ray, will do the job for $70,000. That's the amount supervisors promised to work for in 2009 (the year they went from three to five).
Ray also challenged the board members to follow suit and reduce each member's pay by $33,000. The annual savings for the five members calculates to $165,000. Sounds good to me.
Ray's got my vote. Here's your chance to have a say in this, if others don't follow suit, vote them out!
