Letter: Find a more plausible way to protest

A well-known and respected football player can find a more plausible way to protest than during the opening ceremony of a game.
As someone who is an elderly woman, I see women of any color to be the most maligned segment of our population anywhere in the world.
My father served in the Air Force during World War I, one brother served in the Army during World War II, one brother served in the Navy, and my husband is a World War II veteran.
Women in any of these times were only tolerated by the men. Women are still behind, lower in wages for the same job done. The glass ceiling still is very much in place. Yet, how many women of any color do you see kneeling before the flag to protest as our national anthem is played? Women bear the burden of being a female in a man's world with great dignity. God bless America.
