Letter: DQ article brings back memories

Thank you for the excellent article on Dairy Queen in the July 8 Gazette 'DQ/‘It's a landmark,' historian says”.
The Herringtons lived on 33rd Street Drive just a block from the First Avenue shop and my in-laws lived right across the street. I remember that when the folks ran out of DQ they would put a sign in their front window and either Dorothy or Gene would bring them a new supply on their way home from work.
How nice to see the old shop still in business and virtually unchanged.
