Letter: Do not leave pets in hot vehicles

Greg Buelow, the Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman, recently warned that as temps are getting warmer not to leave kids in cars alone. Good solid advice. I think he should have included animals also.
I have seen this and it's very disturbing to watch. Some people may say 'It's just an animal,” but I think every animal lover, such as myself, consider their pets as members of the family.
