Letter: Diverse points of view appreciated

Regarding the Aug. 14 letter by Eleanor Walters of Marion 'Broad-minded individual would be better”:
She panned Leonard Pitts column and questioned if he should be in the USA. She is entitled to her opinion. The Pitts and Garrison Keillor columns are two of our favorites in The Gazette. Of late, I have even found Kathleen Parker and Charles Krauthammer expressing opinions of interest to me. One has to appreciate the variations in opinions to keep an open mind during this contentious period.
Thanks for continuing to share diverse points of view. They are appreciated.
