Letter: Distance yourself from Donald Trump’s hatred
Steve Feller
Jun. 20, 2016 1:00 am
I applaud recent actions by an increasing number of Republicans to speak the plain truth: Donald Trump, by his public voice, is a bigot and a bully.
Anyone who disagrees with him is insulted and mocked at a base level not seen in modern presidential elections. It matters not who his opponents are, whether they are from the left or the right. All are disrespected and terribly insulted with venomous hatred for the crime of disagreement.
I was brought up in a family consisting of a Republican dad and a Democratic mom. I was taught to respect people and to not stand by and look away from hate. I add my voice in denouncing this demagogue, without consideration of any political positions. I urge others to speak against hate.
