Letter: Daylight saving time wastes reality

Ironic it is called daylight saving time when it does not save time, it wastes reality.
The sun, moon, cows and trees do not run on daylight saving time, only humans and for what? For obscure reasons to waste over a billion dollars per year caused by: employees having to change clocks twice a year getting paid; employee lost work time for being late when they do not know; communications and transactions changing; lost revenue when some are or are not on the same time; and why?
I change six clocks in my home twice a year. Give me a break. Guess what can be changed will be. Let it go.
Back in the 1900s I thought then as I do now, hog wash is hog wash no matter the time.
Cannot change time only the perception of its constancy.
Beware of the Ides of March.
