Letter: Current leadership is too complacent

During this time of giving thanks comes a time of reflection as well. I would like to thank everyone for their support in my campaign. It was my pleasure to meet the great people of District 5.
During this time of reflection, I have decided to endorse Ashley Vanorny - our current leadership has been too complacent for too long.
Most of her visions, expectations and goals are aligned with mine. I am confident she is the right choice, will bring a fresh perspective, will be accountable and, most important, will be engaged.
I have seen current leadership miss important votes, such as the fireworks decision. I believe someone like her would not walk out on a vote as important as this was.
She and I discussed the needs of District 5 and strategies to improve our district. I will continue to serve in any capacity I can. So, please do your part. Go out and show your support for Vanorny on Tuesday. We cannot afford four more years of complacent leadership.
