Letter: CR streets are in horrible condition

What are our city leaders thinking? Cedar Rapids is falling apart. Our streets are in absolute horrible condition and downtown is a mess with the way the streets have been changed.
Trying to navigate walking in downtown is nearly impossible and I'm not vision impaired. Replacing crossing lights with stop signs was a huge mistake, with stop-and-go traffic it is difficult to know when to cross for someone visually impaired. The 'flow of traffic” is so bad that these changes have stopped many locals from going downtown. There is nothing here in our city that would entice anyone to move here. If anything all these stupid changes are making people want to leave. I haven't even mentioned the new fireworks law - another brilliant change.
