Letter: Couple grateful for anniversary meal

We had stopped at a favorite restaurant to have dinner. The waitress had come to take our drink order and we chatted a bit about the day being our 54th wedding anniversary.
Our order for food was placed and we were soon enjoying the meal. We finished eating and waited for the waitress to bring the bill for the meal.
We talked a bit more and finally asked for the bill. It was then we learned that another patron, a young man who had been sitting across the aisle from us, had paid for our meal.
To this unknown young man, we would like to say: Thank you for giving us an anniversary gift to be remembered.
