Letter: Clinton deserves a participation trophy

Four of the last five times Hillary Clinton has lost her bid to become president. Her first one was when she lost in the 2008 Democratic primary to Barack Obama. The second was when she lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The third was when she lost the 2016 election vote recount attempt. The fourth time she lost was again in 2016 following an unsuccessful attempt by Democrats to disenfranchise thousands of voters in selected states by intimidating and threatening electors in those states to void Trump's electoral votes by switching their votes from Trump to Clinton. The one time she was a winner is when she won the Democratic primary in 2016 against Bernie Sanders.
Assuming President Trump will be in office eight years and President Mike Pence will be in office eight more years, Clinton would then be 85 years old and probably be ready for a rocking chair in the Clinton Presidential Library or in her mansion in New York.
Many people would agree the Doctrine of Political Correctness would require the Democratic Party to award Clinton a participation trophy for her second place finish four out of the last five times.
