Letter: City should comply with DOT rules

It seems to me that Cedar Rapids could readily get back the ability to ticket speeders if they would just move the signs to comply with the Department of Transportation recommendation of 1,000 feet.
From what I have read in The Gazette and on TV news, the cost would be about $100,000. Surely, the $4 million or so collected from one year of ticketing would easily cover the cost.
